VMware Tools

Once you mount your VMware Tools ISO, You probably need a few pieces of software installed before you try to install it.

You will most likely need GCC, MAKE, and Linux headers installed.

These commands should do the trick.
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gcc
sudo apt-get install make
sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)

You will need to copy the VMware tools file to a write-able location for extracting.
cd /media/cdrom
cp Vmware......tar /home/username
cd /home/username

sudo tar xvc WMware......tar
cd /WMware-tools

to be continued.....
